<h3>Northpoint Safety Team Member Duties and Responsibilities Agreement</h3><p>The Northpoint Safety Team exists to help create a safe, welcoming, and distraction-free environment for everyone who attends or visits Northpoint Church. Safety Team Members (STMs) serve as volunteers who provide a visible presence, assist during emergencies, and support the ministry’s overall safety plan.</p><h4>Duties and Responsibilities</h4><ul><li><strong>Personal and Spiritual Growth:</strong> STMs are expected to model a growing relationship with Jesus and maintain healthy family relationships as a foundation for ministry service.</li><li><strong>Character and Conduct:</strong> STMs will demonstrate sound judgment, humility, and calm under pressure. They serve as representatives of Northpoint Church, acting in ways that promote peace and safety.</li><li><strong>Service Responsibilities:</strong><ol><li><strong>Medical and Emergency Response:</strong> Assist during medical or safety-related incidents according to their level of training and within the limits of their role. Promptly contact emergency medical or law enforcement professionals when needed.</li><li><strong>Visible Presence:</strong> Provide a reassuring and welcoming presence that discourages disruptive behavior and supports a peaceful worship environment.</li><li><strong>De-escalation:</strong> When disturbances occur, use verbal communication and de-escalation techniques as trained. Physical contact or restraint should only occur when necessary to prevent imminent harm and within the volunteer’s training and ability.</li><li><strong>Coordination with Authorities:</strong> In any situation involving potential violence or threat, the STM’s role is to call for law enforcement, protect others from immediate danger if safely possible, and follow the church’s emergency response procedures.</li></ol></li><li><strong>Training and Readiness:</strong> Northpoint Church will provide ongoing training and resources. Each STM is responsible for maintaining the skills and awareness needed to serve effectively through church-sponsored or approved training opportunities.</li><li><strong>Volunteer Relationship:</strong> STMs serve as volunteers and not employees or agents of Northpoint Church. They are not licensed peace officers or professional security personnel. Service is offered freely and under the guidance and supervision of church leadership. Ref.
