There are 3 main ways to distribute content on Diamond Tree

  1. Distributing using a Collection
  2. Distributing using a Store
  3. Sharing a Gem directly

Distributing using a Collection

Collections are the most flexible way for you to distribute your content to your clients or users. They are simply containers that contain any combination of Gems that you create.

  • Containers for Gems - Collections contain any combination of Gems, and you can move Gems in and out of a Collection at any time.
  • Distributed via links - Collections are distributed via a unique web link. They can also be added to stores.
  • Free or for sale - Collections can be used to distribute content for free, or you can sell them for a one-time fee or monthly subscription.
  • Allow content previews - Clients/customers can preview portions of your content that you designate prior to making a purchasing decision.
  • License content - You can use collections to license your content to others. They can then customize the licensed content (if you allow it), and use it with their clients or teams.
  • Keep client responses organized - User responses in a Response Report can be filtered by Collection. So if you want to keep your client's responses organized in different buckets, Collections are a great way to do that.

Distributing using a Store

Stores are a way for you to distribute or sell multiple collections at one time.

  • Branding - Stores allow you to more clearly express your own branding. In addition to a banner image you can add your logo, links to your social media and website, and your email address.
  • Multiple Collections - Stores are a good choice if you want to offer your clients/customers more than one Collection at a time.

Sharing a Gem Directly

Sometimes you just need a simple way to share a single piece of content with one or more people. Each Gem can be shared directly with a unique link.

  • Client login flexibility - You can require that users have an account before viewing your Gem. You can also make a login optional, or allow them to view the Gem directly without being prompted to login.
  • Temporary webpages - If you elect to not have a login prompt, you can use shared Gems as de-facto temporary web pages that contain any type of information (client proposals, reports, event announcements, etc).
